To feel the travel not as a tourist but as a traveller in Agrigento territory you must visit Pitandello's house, two miles west to the valley of the temples of Agrigento.Here, Pirandello was born in 1867. From there he dreamed about the sense of life or its nonsense!! MY LAST WISHES:
May my death be left to pass in silence.My friends and enemies would I beg not even to mention it,let alone comment on it to the newspapers.Neither announcements nor reports. Dead,do not dress me. Wind me naked in a sheet.And no flowers on the bed and no lighted candle. A cart of the lowest class,that of the poor.Naked.And let no one accompany me,neither family nor friends. The cart,the horse,the driver: nothing besides.Cremate me. And as soos as my body is consumed may my ashes be scattered,becouse I wish for noting,not even ash,to remain of me. But, if this cannot be done,may the cinerary urn be brought to Sicily and immured in sone coarse stone in the countryside of Girgenti where I was born.
