As a Galway local, I know Galway and Ireland like any local should. After spending almost two years in the Galway Tourist Office and Fáilte Ireland, I made the decision to become a guide. I guide all year round. I am a member of the Association of Approved Tour Guides Ireland (AATGI). Walking tours of Galway city or any of the cities around Ireland can be catered for and organised. Tailor made tours can be tailored to on request. Pick ups, transfers and extended tours can be catered to.

Jorg, ursprünglich aus Deutschland, kam 1999 nach Irland. Jorg kann auf 9 Jahre Erfahrung als Reiseberater und Reiseleiter in der Republik Irland und Nordirland verweisen. Von Oktober 1999 bis Juni 2000 war Jorg als Reiseberater für die irische Fremdenverkehrszentrale, Board Failte, tätig. Die Erfahrungen und Kenntnisse die er in dieser Zeit erwarb, schufen die Grundlagen, die es ihm ermöglichten, einige Jahre später als Reiseleiter arbeiten zu können. Seit 2003 ist Jorg als Reiseleiter in ganz Irland unterwegs. Jorg ist bekannt für sein umfangreiches Wissen, für seinen Humor und seine organisatorischen Fähigkeiten. Im Jahr 2011/12 absolvierte Jorg erfolgreich einen 6-monatigen Kurs zum “Failte Ireland Approved National Tourist Guide” und ist Mitglied in der Association of Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland. Ausserdem erwarb Jorg die SPSV (Small Public Service Vehicle) Lizenz, die es ihm erlaubt Personen im 8 Sitzer Mini Bus kommerziell zu befördern.

I was born on the banks of the River Boyne and have lived in the Boyne Valley all my life. The Heritages sites Newgrange, Knowth, Dowth, Monasterboice, Hill of Tara, Trim Castle, Hill of Slane, Bective Abbey were my passion and hobby before I began tour guiding on a professional basis. I take small groups of up to 4 passengers in my Audi A6 around the many heritage sites of the Boyne Valley. The car is a licensed Limousine and I am a licensed Limousine driver.

I lead small groups on nature-based guided walking (hiking) trips in County Mayo, on the fabulous west coast of Ireland.
