About me

I am a conservation architect, and Phd student of architectural history. All my life I have studied the monuments of Greece and Athens in particular. But that doesn't mean I will give you a boring history lecture or take you where everyone else does (we won't be missing out on the masterpieces either!). I want to show ...(read more)you MY Athens, and the name I chose refers both to the city-scape but also to an escape from pack touristy itineraries. I want to show you living history and the living city, take you to my favourite places and the hidden gems of the city. I also want to help you discover YOUR Athens, based on your personal preferences. So, if you want a knowledgeable architect, a local food and wine connaisseur, to join you in your wanderings, rather than a typical guide, I am here for you.

I like art and architecture, but also lovely little gourmet restaurants. I also love animals and help rescue strays

My perfect day

My perfect day is exactly what Greece offers: a combination of a cultural walk, followed by a lovely meal in a restaurant with a splendid view, or just a picnic in the park!

I speak

Greek is my first language, but I am almost bilingual in English and French (speak them like my mother tongues). I also speak Italian.

We shall take a stroll in the city centre focusing on architecture of all times, not just antiquities, that will help us unroll the evolution of the city through the centuries. We will have the opportunity to have lunch in a cute lovely restaurant (there is a number of choices), rather than a touristy one, and relax in an unexpected oasis in the heart of Athens. I can pick you up by car if you are up to 4 people.

The tour was the highlight of our trip to Athens, Christina guided us through the most interesting and beautiful sites. She has great knowledge of her city and makes it not only a great learning experience but also fun and very enjoyable. We had a delicious meal at one of her favourite local taverna. My programmes are tight enough so that you don't waste any time, but also flexible. If you need a rest or decide for a change, it is always possible, opposite to what is the deal with usual groups. The walks are child-friendly.
