About me

First of all, I live in North Sulawesi or Celebes. I like to work with mixture of creativity and imagination. I feel confident among other people and fall in love to introduce my home town, my culture and other things my place always offers. For me, to see smile on people's faces is one very exciting thing. Tour Guide ...(read more)is the best and perfect choice for me to express because the one and only limit in this job is what the tourist(s) like(s), while I, myself, don't make a limit. My motto is 'beyond dreams'. The other thing is that this fabulous job gives me chance to know, appreciate and cherish my own culture, nature and the differences with others.

When your trip is about to see the indigenous, to experience new culture, to have adventure in the nature without leaving the modernity touch too far, my place is the perfect choice for you because it is the combination of East and West, of Modernity and Ethnicity. So, I will be very happy to show you around to various places.

Mt. Mahawu Trekking / Climbing

Tomohon 05:00hs 10 max. 0 reviews

Mt. Mahawu is a volcano as high as 1331 m from the sea level. It locates in The eastern part of Tomohon and bordered to Minahasa Regency. It is several hours of trekking starting from several entrance (The options is going to be told on the day of meeting). The easy way is to start from the main entrance and it will be only 2 km and about 30 minutes of walking. The hardest way starts from Kakaskasen and would normally take 1.5 - 2 hours of walking and climbing up. My suggestion is for younger to take the hike up and end it in the main entrance, for older do the other way.

Crossing Countryside: Kayawu and Woloan

Tomohon 06:00hs 10 max. 0 reviews

Highlands of Minahasa offer hundreds of interesting activities. One of them is visiting the countryside. There are many countryside in Minahasa Highlands but in this trip we are going to visit two villages in Tomohon. First one is Kayawu. Kayawu is a village on the slope area of Mt. Lokon. This village is famous with it's palm sugar production - the local people called it Stone Sugar or Red Sugar. We are going to see how they make it traditionally and if possible they will let us try the young sugar fresh from the pan. After that we will continue our trip to the village and see the local activities. We will also enter the Japanese Caves from the World War II only if you are interested. And then we will continue the cross country following the rice field to a waterfall. From there, we will have lunch in a hut. I specially arrange the lunch in the hut of farmer so that we can have lunch together with them with their home cooking. Here you are challaged a little bit to the local cuisine. Next we will go to Woloan to see the Waruga, it is ancient tombs and traditional house production.
