Do you want you to feel like you have lived in Mexico for years, while being surprised at any minute? ...(read more)With me as a tour guide, you will experience Mexico in a unique way like you wouldn't have imagined!

It was during my first stay in Mexico, as an antropologist researcher back in 1999, that I got passionate about cultural exchange and about showing the cultural and natural wonders of this incredible country to other people.

After several years of working with all kinds of people from all over the world, from a US CEO to a German historian or an Australian backpacker, your challenge to me is to adapt myself to your particular requests and interests.

I like

Architecture, history and arts, archaeology, folklore, outdoors activities (hiking, biking, water...) and all the other interesting things Mexico has to offer.

My perfect day

To enjoy the surprising ancient and modern architecture of this city, its cosmopolitan yet very authentic atmosphere, while discovering ever more aspects of the rich Mexican cuisine, strolling through colourful markets.

I have traveled to

Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, United States, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, Tunisia, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Denmark

I speak

English, Spanish, Dutch, French (fluent); German (conversational).

I am currently

Travel guide, planner and editor.

Mexican Tasting and Cooking Tour

Mexico City 06:00hs 6 max. 0 reviews

The way to a Mexican's heart is through its stomach, and that will certainly apply to you as well after this tour! Mexico's cuisine is an interesting mix of prehispanic traditions, colonial influences and modern creativity. Discover what and how to order in restaurants and markets, and learn Mexican cooking for back home! Our area of exploration will be Tlalpan, a lovely colonial-style suburb.During a pleasant walk you'll not only learn about the history, art and architecture and even the conventual life of the place, but also learn the difference between tequila and mescal. We walk amidst exotic fruits, chiles and mole sauces, traditional sweets and the scent of fresh tortillas in a 120 years old market, and buy fresh ingredients there to prepare them in a kitchen at a lovely blown glass art workshop, where we will be surrounded by colourful Mexican tequila glasses and Christmas balls. We prepare at least one cocktail, one seasonal dish and one recipe that you can prepare easily back home - to impress your friends! You will get the recipes to take home.
