About this Tour

This precordillera region of Cajon Del Maipo is characterized by the presence of micro-climates found in the cascading sections of this area. Rocky headlands, vegas formations, evidence of ancient glaciers, high peaks, waterfalls and condors flying majestically are just some of the amazing things that can be seen on this journey.

We will travel from Santiago to San José de Maipo, and our destiny "The Rio Colorado Sanctuary ", located in the heart of our Andean mountain range, where we will start our 6 hour trek reaching a height of 2000 meters.

Throughout the tour we will attempt to make condor sightings in a place called "La Buitrera", and then continue our journey along some beautiful trails that connect us with nature allowing us to enjoy the flora and fauna that is the characteristic in these Culpeo Fox and Peumo forests. During the journey we can take a swim in rock pools and in the pure and crystalline waterfalls of the cordillera.

It was an awesome experience. The guide was very knowledgeable. Maybe at the beginning and end of the trek some stretching would be good.
