The way to a Mexican's heart is through its stomach, and that will certainly apply to you as well after this tour! Mexico's cuisine is an interesting mix of prehispanic traditions, colonial influences and modern creativity.
Discover what and how to order in restaurants and markets, and learn Mexican cooking for back home!
Our area of exploration will be Tlalpan, a lovely colonial-style suburb.During a pleasant walk you'll not only learn about the history, art and architecture and even the conventual life of the place, but also learn the difference between tequila and mescal. We walk amidst exotic fruits, chiles and mole sauces, traditional sweets and the scent of fresh tortillas in a 120 years old market, and buy fresh ingredients there to prepare them in a kitchen at a lovely blown glass art workshop, where we will be surrounded by colourful Mexican tequila glasses and Christmas balls.
We prepare at least one cocktail, one seasonal dish and one recipe that you can prepare easily back home - to impress your friends! You will get the recipes to take home.
