Montserrat is the most important mountain in Catalonia. A unique massif, famous for its gothic shapes, beautiful views, ideal for all sort of treks, and climbing. For many around the world it is a spiritual mountain topped with mystical stories, including Nazi plans of glory (as they were looking for the holly grail in Montserrat)
The tour begins in Barcelona, Plaza Catalunya (in front of the Hard Rock Café) from where we depart in a bus to the National Park of Montserrat, just a 45 minute drive from Barcelona.
At Montserrat there are many activities to choose from. Your guide will give you tips on what to do before arrival to Montserrat. You might want to visit the monastery, the holy cave or trek to the top of the Cavall Bernat and enjoy a 360º view of the area at 3000ft above sea level. The guided tour starts with a short walk to the monastery where you can enjoy the spectacular views and get a true feel of spirituality Montserrat has to offer.
After Montserrat we head the to The Oller del Mas Castle , one of the most important and beautiful wineries in the region, just a few minutes away from Montserrat. Located in an impressive Castle that dates back over a thousand years old, some of its walls are still 10th century originals, the winery reigns over 1000 acres of land with a golf course open to the public.
In the clubhouse restaurant you will be served with an exquisite regional menu topped with wines produced organically from the vineyard.
In the afternoon, our expert enologists will guide you to visit the cellar and take you through the wines for a beautiful walk. You will learn how the wine is made and discover all of its secrets.
Last but not least, the wine-tasting course where you will taste three products of an excellent quality, before the return to Barcelona.
