Archaeology and Tradicional Medicine in Lima
We start early in the morning to go to the most important sacred Inca Sanctuary named Pachacamac. It is a special place where we will learn about the Inca religion and medicine. This temple was very visited by Inca people as pilgrims to adore Pachacamac God, (“The Shaker of the World”) and here they made many rituals in order to get spiritual peace and physical health. Here we will walk exploring the meaning of all these temples, and prepare a special table where we will smell, touch and eat special Inca herbs that were used successfully in the ancient medicine, we will know their properties to cure different illnesses , and what is more, the way that they were used. Then, we will have lunch in a local people house where we will share their Inca roots in their food with Andean organic products and see the use of this plants and animals such the Indian guinea pig.
